Description

I am selling this British Mk.II steel helmet from World War II shown in the pictures. The liner is marked 7 BMB I/1940. The manufacturer's markings on the shell are under the camo sand paint, but judging by the khaki paint surface on the inside of the shell, the shell was also made around the same time. On the left side of the helmet there is a hand painted emblem of the Royal Artillery and on the liner of the helmet there is a white paint "FW 550" marking. The boys have run out of blue paint, so black paint has replaced the blue in the emblem, or the scorching sun of El Alamein has shaped the pigment naturally. The outer surface of the dome and the inner edges are painted with sand-mixed desert paint, and the previous layer of paint from Europe is chipped under the interior. There is no more detailed information about the history of the helmet or it's user. I bought the helmet from an Italian living in England. I am shipping this helmet from Finland (EU). Shipping will be outside of EU. If you are living in the UK or EU, please use German eBay, so you will get right shipping fees (around ). Hard to find in this condition!
