  • Condition: This is an older TexTan Western saddle. It is maker stamped on the fenders, and has a serial number on the lower left fender. The right front breast collar dee has been replaced with a ring. The leather is a bit stiff, but has only slight surface cracking on the edges, the lower fenders, and the smooth side of the stirrup leathers. Some of the lower edges of the fenders look like they were gnawed by a mouse. There are also scuffs and discolored spots, as would be expected, especially on the lower left fork and the cantle. The edges are buckstitched, but much of the stitching is discolored and / or worn.The edges of the upper stirrup straps have been trimmed, presumably so they will slide over the bars of the tree more easily. None of this will affect use. The tree is tight. The fleece is in good shape. It is quite heavy - 35 lbs as pictured.
